This lantern comes in a nice box you could store it in while you are not using it. It does not come with batteries so you will have to get your own. It does have a manual It comes in three languages inside English,German and Japanese. This lantern has a amazing design and i was super happy with it. I really love how it collapses down and the light part is hidden when you don't need it. It takes 3 AA batteries. To insert the batteries just screw off the bottom insert the batteries and put cap back on.
The handles are super nice i really like how it has the curve in them so you can hang this light. Amazing feature this light is water resistant. To turn this light on just pull it up and it will turn on. It has a a led bulb which gives off a rather bright light which i like. In the manual i was surprised to notice this light will last up to 40 hours. It's very light weight. I was also very happy with this light and cant wait to go camping soon. This will be a great light for our tent. To turn it off just push the light part back into the base and then you can leave the handles up or you can put them down.
