It comes in a box with a photo of the product. I opened it up and took out my knives that wouldn't even cut paper. Then slowly ran them through the knife sharpener. This is made out of stainless steel and very high quality plastic. I really love how this has a big handle to hold it and your fingers are out of the way when sharpening your knives. There are two rubber strips on the bottom this is to help it from moving when you are using it. There are 3 spots in this sharpener let me explain it. 1st slot will be to sharpen your knife. 2nd spot is to hone it and 3rd spot is to polish it. This is very easy to use just simply stick your knife in slot one and pull back 3-5 times Then you would move onto the next slot and do the same thing. Once i was done sharpening them they cut paper like nothing. So i went and got steaks that night for dinner it cut them with no issues. I think everyone should have one of theses instead of getting new knives.
