When you first get this ice maker i was so tickled pink. I took it out of the box. I opened the manual and started reading it. Yes i am one of those people who reads it from front to back till i know how to use it.





You will need to place this ice maker on a flat surface and make sure it's well ventilated. Before plugging it in you will need to wash the ice basket and scooper in the sink with warm water and dish soap. Then take a soft rag and use mild soap and warm water and wash out the inside. Keep the machine at a upright position at all times. I washed it and let it air dry over night. Next day i plugged it in and waited 30 minutes for the refrigerant to settle.  Once 30 minutes was up i then filled the chamber with water i used bottle water. Fill it up to the tip of the ledge. Then put the ice basket back in. power on and select your ice cube size. You can pick small, medium or large. I used medium for a cooler. It then will start running and making ice. It makes 9 ice cubes at a time. I wait for the ice bucket to be some what full before transferring them to the freezer. This machine is just to make the ice not to store it in.  When you are done making ice turn it off and unplug it. I then turned the machine so it's facing my sink and on the back is a little knob that you take off and pull out the plug. It will then drain the remaining water that is inside it. I would not leave water in it because that can cause bacteria growth. You can do a cleaning cycle once a month if you want with vinegar and water.  I drained it and left the plug and door open to air dry. I do love that it has a see through window  so you can watch it making ice. This machine is worth every penny. On the front it has a power and ice size button. Also a led light will kick on when it's low on water and when ice bucket is full.  If it does run out of water it will kick the light on but the machine will turn off just re-add water and then turn it back on. This machine is is rather quite compared to the freezer which we have that makes ice which we always turn off because it scares the dog.
