This meat tenderizer is made very well. It has 48 blades which are made out of steel. Be careful as they are sharp. My husband loves having steak but lately they have been so tough and chewy. Since i got this meat tenderizer i went out and got some streaks.
There are 16 of the needles in 3 rows. What i love the most about this is it does have a safety cover so if you are not using it. It will be covered and protected. When using this you simply place it on your meat and press down. It will make a small click sound that is how you know it's working. Just go over your meat 2-3 times. You can also use this on a potatoes. I know i hate making twice bake potatoes because i hate poking the potato with a fork. Now i don't have to use a fork i can use this little bad boy and makes like so much easier. When washing this i used mild soap and water and a old tooth brush to get in between the blades. I then stuck this in the dish rack and let it air dry. When it's dry i popped the safety cover back on it. You can store this in a kitchen drawer. This would make a great gift for anyone who loves to cook. You can use this on any type of meat and even potatoes. I think that is a huge plus for me.
